Screenshot/Caption Contest (Win SimPoints)

Update: We picked the 5 final screenshots, now it’s time for you to submit your captions. Check them out at the links below.

We’ll be running contests every now and again and to start things off we’re having a screenshot/caption contest.

You’ll have two ways to enter and win. First submit an interesting screenshot you’ve taken by leaving a link below in the comment section. We will pick 5 of our favorites and ask you to submit captions for each of them (try to be funny with them, but keep it clean).  Finally the winning screenshot/caption combo will be voted on by you. The two winners will each win $10 worth of SimPoints to spend on The Sims 3 store. I’ll try and have something better in the future, but for now I want to start off  small and see how much participation we get.

So leave a link to your screenshot in the comment section.
To upload it to the site go to your dashboard, click on the media link on your sidebar, and click add new. Once it is uploaded just copy the link to it and post it in your comment. If you have it uploaded somewhere else that is fine too, just make sure you’re the one who took it. You can submit a maxium of 3 screenshots.

You can take part in both the sreenshot and caption part of the contest, but you can only win once.

Also if you want to help support the site, check out our sponsors on the front page. Even clicking on them once a day is very helpful. All money goes towards paying for hosting, and better prizes. Thanks :-)

    What are the dates for the contest? Meaning, when do I have until to submit a screenshot (if I have or get any good ones that is :) )? This sounds like it will be fun!

    Also, I think that $10 in sims points is a good prize btw. I don’t think you need to give out crazy big prizes for it to be fun. That’s just my opinion though of course! :)

    Great contest! Can a link to this thread be added to the main page? Like under a Contests! heading or something. That way it may bring in a bit more traffic to the contests. Just a thought.

    I’ll start rummaging through my screenies and see what I come up with.

    I hope one of the shots they pick is the bathtub shot from thewalshsaga. I have a good idea for a caption for that one! Can’t wait to captions…(did I just think that? In real life captioning is the bane of my existence).
